Car Accident Chiropractor in Jacksonville, FL

If you were in a crash in Jacksonville, you do not have to sort out neck pain, stiffness, or headaches on your own. Chanatry Chiropractic has provided chiropractic care here since 1985. Our primary office is at 2711 University Blvd N, across from Jacksonville University in Arlington, with additional offices at San Pablo, Northside, Westside, and Riverside.

Florida's no-fault (PIP) rules generally require care within 14 days of the crash for PIP to cover treatment. The clock starts on the accident date, not the day symptoms appear. Inside that window or past it, call. We can evaluate you and talk through documentation. We will not overpromise what insurance will pay.

Call (904) 743-6700 or request an accident eval. There is no online calendar. The office will call you back to set the visit.

What to do after a crash in Jacksonville

  1. Get emergency care if you need it. Heavy bleeding, loss of consciousness, chest pain, numbness or weakness, a severe headache, or a neck you cannot move are ER problems. Call 911. We are a chiropractic clinic, not a hospital.
  2. Document the crash. Photos, a police report if one was made, and insurance information help later. You do not need every paper in hand to be evaluated.
  3. Do not wait because you "feel fine." Adrenaline often masks injury. Neck pain, back pain, headaches, and limited motion commonly appear 24 to 72 hours later.
  4. Get a chiropractic evaluation. If you are medically stable, a chiropractic physician can examine your neck and back, record what happened, and start care when it is appropriate. That visit also creates a dated record.
  5. Mind the 14-day PIP window. Waiting "to see if it goes away" can affect Florida PIP coverage even if pain arrives later.
  6. Tell us if you already went to the ER. Bring discharge papers if you have them. An ER visit rules out emergencies; it does not always address lingering neck and back injuries.

If you are unsure, choose emergency care first. When you are cleared, call (904) 743-6700 or request an accident eval at University, San Pablo, Northside, Westside, or Riverside.

Florida PIP / no-fault in plain English

Florida is a no-fault auto insurance state. After a crash, your own Personal Injury Protection (PIP) generally pays a portion of medically necessary accident-related treatment, regardless of who caused it. The details live in Florida Statute 627.736. This is patient education, not legal advice, and not a promise that your policy will pay our fees.

The 14-day rule

Patients generally must receive initial care from a qualifying provider within 14 days of the motor vehicle accident for PIP to cover treatment. The clock starts on the crash date. Delayed symptoms and weekends do not pause it.

Chiropractic physicians licensed in Florida are among the provider types the statute lists. An ER visit or hospital can also start the clock. What matters is that someone qualifying sees you inside 14 days.

What PIP is not

Coverage amounts and deductibles are between you and your carrier. We do not advertise "$0 out of pocket," guaranteed billing, or same-day insurance approval. Ask the front desk how we handle auto-related claims and what we need (crash date, claim number if you have one, attorney name if you have one).

If it has already been more than 14 days

You can still be evaluated. PIP benefits may be limited or denied. We can document your exam. Coverage questions belong with your insurer or an attorney. We are not a law firm.

This is general information about a public Florida rule, not legal advice, and not a guarantee of insurance payment. Claim questions belong with your insurer or a licensed Florida attorney.

How chiropractic care can help after a car accident

A collision throws your body faster than your muscles can brace. The neck and upper back take a large share of that force, the pattern people call whiplash. You may also feel low-back pain, shoulder tightness, or headaches at the base of the skull. Symptoms may start the same day, the next morning, or two or three days later.

Chanatry Chiropractic treats these musculoskeletal injuries: neck pain, back pain, whiplash-type injuries, and related headaches. We are chiropractic physicians, not an ER, surgical practice, or imaging center. If your exam suggests you need imaging, a specialist, or emergency care, we will say so.

When care is appropriate, the goal is to restore comfortable motion and reduce muscle guarding. That may include a focused exam, chiropractic adjustments when indicated, and myofascial work for tight muscles. Dry needling or acupuncture, which we already offer, may be discussed when they fit the findings, not as a default for every crash patient.

We will not assign a long plan before we have examined you. The first job is to find out what is going on.

What the first visit looks like

There is no online scheduler. Call (904) 743-6700 or submit the accident-eval form. Staff will call you back to set a time at the location you prefer.

Please bring photo ID, auto-insurance information if you have it, ER paperwork if you went, and your attorney's name if you have one. If you do not have those yet, come anyway.

Working with your attorney and documentation

You do not need an attorney to be evaluated here. If you already have one, tell us.

We can record history, exam findings, and a treatment plan; provide records when they are properly requested; and communicate with your attorney's office about documentation.

We do not promise a letter of protection, a lien, or any particular billing arrangement on this page. Those are case-by-case. Ask the front desk about documentation and whether a letter of protection is something we can consider. We work with auto claims. We do not run a law practice, and we cannot advise you on whether to hire counsel.

FAQ

How soon should I see a car accident chiropractor in Jacksonville?

As soon as you are medically stable, and for Florida PIP, generally within 14 days of the crash. Symptoms often lag 24–72 hours.

Does Florida PIP cover chiropractic care after a car accident?

It can, when you meet the statute's rules, including the 14-day initial-care requirement and your policy's terms. Chiropractic physicians are among the qualifying provider types in Fla. Stat. 627.736. Coverage is not guaranteed. Ask your insurer, and ask our front desk how we bill auto-related care.

Do I need a referral?

No. Call (904) 743-6700 directly. If you have an attorney, they can send records.

I feel fine. Should I still come in?

Yes, especially inside 14 days. Delayed neck and back symptoms are common, and an exam creates a dated record.

I already went to the ER. Can you still see me?

Yes. Emergency care and chiropractic care answer different questions. Bring discharge papers if you have them.

Which location should I use?

Start with University Blvd (2711 University Blvd N, across from Jacksonville University) if that is convenient. Otherwise choose San Pablo, Northside, Westside, or Riverside (Silver Chiropractic).

Do you work with attorneys?

We can document care and communicate with your attorney when you ask us to. We do not guarantee letters of protection on this page. Ask the front desk. You do not need an attorney to be seen.

What if it has been more than 14 days since the crash?

You can still be evaluated. PIP medical benefits may be affected. Call us and tell us the crash date.
